This Valentines day was spent with the in-laws. As you do…
Here are some of the snaps I took on our short walk, including a rare outing for my little lensbaby muse, a cheap and cheerful tilt-shift lens.

Had a charming photoshoot this evening, with an extremely well-behaved model: a dead fly. Artificial lighting isn’t something I’ve spent much time experimenting with, so this simple thing made a nice change to my normal habits. I’ll think about posting some more photos at some point, more as a study in different angles and lighting than anything else, but for now, here’s my personal pick of the bunch. Click the photo for the full size version, it’s nice and sharp thanks to my sexy Sigma (see below <3).

As usual, life is busy. And crazy. And crazy busy.
I thought I would take a minute or two to share a few photos I took yesterday. They’re nothing particularly special photography wise, but it’s just a little snippet of my day I thought I’d share in lieu of any more substantial content.

I can’t really think of anything else to say about these. These are some more photos I took last week in Swanage and Wareham.

A little while back we visited Longdown Activity Farm in the New Forest with our niece and her parents. Having worked my way through a backlogue of photos, here are some highlights from the day.

I’ve known for a while that these were sitting around, but it was only when I thought I’d lost them on my failed hard drive that I got around to doing anything with them.
I previously blogged some of my Isle of Man photos (check them out if you haven’t before), but never uploaded the second lot. I thought I’d do it in a couple of posts so here are the first few.
Be warned, the next ones are gorgeous.

Thought it was about time I uploaded these…
In early September, just before I had my camera equipment stolen, I spent around half a day in Bournemouth, looking to capture something of what makes the town what it is. I took a reasonable amount of photos, and fortunately transferred them to my iPad before the memory card was stolen.
Shout out to Leonie who accompanied me on this little trip.
I got a few nice shots on the day, and I think they do well to sum up a little of the Bournemouth character, but this will hopefully be an ongoing project – so I here present to you the Bournemouth Photo Essay, Part 1.
